Far from busy malls and loud crowds where children can sometimes be too shy or frightened by a big Santa display, our mobile chalet offers a spot to enjoy real holiday cheer and make special memories right here in Northern Idaho.
An Introduction
Greetings fellow believers,
We are James & Nancy Clark we’ve been married for 26 years, living in Post Falls for 18 years, and have been Christmas entertainers for 5 years.
As Santa and Mrs Claus, we’ve been doing in home visits, company parties, school visits, public library readings, parades and even a commercial for a car dealership.
We enjoy putting smiles of wonderment on the faces of believers no matter if they are 1 or 100. In fact one of my favorite things is interacting with children and their elderly relatives. Visiting Santa shouldn’t be a photo op, it should be an experience that lasts for a lifetime.
Starting in 2026 we are trying something new. Through conversations with children, a lot of them living In small towns and rural areas don’t get to see Santa very much. With the cost of travel and the advent of services like Amazon, parents don’t drive into to more populated areas on a regular basis. Because these children don’t get the opportunity to come to us, we want to come to them with our beautiful little home, we call it Santa’s Chalet.
Where We Go and What We Do
Santa's Chalet brings the magic of Mr & Mrs Claus’ home at the North Pole to Post Falls, Coeur d’Alene and surrounding areas of northern Idaho. If I can get to your place, I will come.
Due to its height of 14 feet, Chalet travel into Washington is limited because of numerous low overpasses.
Travel into Montana in December can be unpredictable due to the mountain pass. Even though I’m a 33+ year truck driver in my daily life, I cannot in good conscience take Santa’s Chalet over Lookout Pass in a snow storm. Therefore travel into Montana is hard to schedule in advance.
Community Events
Are you in a small town? Do your local children rarely see Santa because you live a long way from the closest retail location that has Santa? Then Santa Chalet is for you!
We specialize in community events where the Chalet comes into your location overnight or early morning, is set up and starts taking visitors around noon and wraps up around 7pm. Because of the Chalet’s small size, our visits are limited to one family at a time allowing for that “welcome to our home” feel.
After regular hours, we offer more personalized extended single family visits when Santa and Mrs Claus can entertain for a more immersive experience.
Santa’s Chalet is also a PARADE FLOAT! Santa rides inside the top of the chimney!

Santa's Chalet offers church groups a warm, family-friendly way to serve their communities during the Christmas season. While Santa Claus is often viewed as a secular Christmas character, Christmas is, at its heart, a celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. While I do not actively teach or preach faith-based messages, I also do not downplay the Christian meaning of Christmas. If a child or family brings up the birth of Christ or the religious significance of the season, those conversations are welcomed and treated with respect.
Perhaps you are an owner of an apartment complex or administrator of a homeowners association. What better way to give back?We can set up in a common area for the day and provide an experience that will last a lifetime.

How it Works
We have a rather simple business model. A person, business or group sponsors our visit by paying our appearance fee. We provide the venue and entertainment for a set amount of time.
Nancy and I are the entire operation, we do not have a dedicated photographer. However, we will happily take pictures with a visitor’s device.
Sponsors are welcome to hire a photographer and charge for photos if you wish. You are also welcome to make money off our appearance in any appropriate way you wish.
However, I have just one nonnegotiable condition of our service. NO CHILD WILL BE TURNED AWAY FROM SEEING SANTA CLAUS because their parents cannot afford to buy photos.
I have a sign that clearly tells parents there is no charge for kids to see Santa.
What we require:
1) A safe, legal and fairly LEVEL location to park our Chalet trailer. It is 30’ long, 10’ wide and 14’ tall. I need plenty of room around it as not to crowd the views, and allow for fencing and other outside structures such as signage and trees. The rear and right side of the trailer are the presentation sides of Santas Chalet.
2) A standard 110 volt/ 30 amp electric source to power our lights and fireplace. If you cannot provide, we have a generator we can use for an extra charge.
3) A private place for Myself and Mrs Claus to get dressed and a restroom. The Chalet does not have those facilities.
4) If your locality requires any special permits, I ask that you acquire those as the sponsor.
Private Santa Claus Visits
Imagine coming to Mr & Mrs Claus’ home as invited guests!
We offer more immersive half and full hour experiences after regular hours for an added fee. This includes expanded question and answers, Santa’s performance reading of The Night Before Christmas, opening presents (you provide) and cookies made with Mrs Claus. This less formal setting is like visiting with friends.
